1. Who we are
Spireite Feedback is an independent supporter-run platform for Chesterfield FC fans. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Chesterfield Football Club.
2. What we collect
We collect the email address and password you provide at registration, the verification status of your account, the player ratings and attribute votes you submit, and the match summaries you write. If you create a supporter profile, we also collect the name, picture, years supporting and favourite-player details you choose to add. We do not collect payment details or location data.
3. Why we collect it
Your email address is used solely to verify that each rating comes from a genuine supporter and to send the two-factor verification code. Ratings and summaries are aggregated to produce leaderboards, radar charts and archive pages.
4. Two-factor verification
Registration requires a 6-digit code sent by email. This protects the integrity of the ratings by preventing duplicate or automated submissions.
5. How we store data
Account and rating data is stored securely and retained for the duration of the season plus one further season for archive purposes. Passwords are never displayed back to you.
6. Sharing
We never sell supporter data. Scores, match summaries and contribution counts may be published publicly. Details added to a supporter profile are also public and may be shown alongside that member's contributions. Email addresses, passwords and sign-in details are never included in the public profile.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or request deletion of your account and submissions at any time by contacting the moderation team.
8. Moderation records
Submissions blocked by our profanity and toxicity filter are not published. Repeated attempts to post abusive content may be recorded against your account for community safety.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your submissions on this device. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
